Skyflower, who was already lying in the nest, let out a yowl of pain as a spasm suddenly ripped through her body. She spotted Jaystick and a stick through narrowed eyes and grabbed it, gripping it in her teeth.

Skyflower looked down at her beautiful kits. "Four kits," she murmured softly. "Two toms and two she-kits." She looked up at her two friends. "You two can each name one," she instructed them before looking down at the two toms. One was dark brown and the other looked like her. The she-kit was dark brown too, just like Jaystick. Skyflower sighed and licked the she-kit's head, causing her to burrow into Skyflower's side. Smiling down at her small bundle, she turned her attention to the last kit, who didn't look like the others or the parents. In fact, she was a combination of the two. She was a dark brown spotted tabby with a white chest and paws. Skyflower purred, suddenly overcome with happiness at the four kits suckling at her belly.
