Skyflower gave Jaystick a glare and growled under her breath. She looked up at Jadestar. "Thank you. Troutclaw is their father," she mewed, giving Jaystick a hard stare. Her heart broke as she was forced to push Jaystick away. He could never be the father. He was a medicine cat and it was against the medicine cat code for him to be a father. It was better if Troutclaw was her mate.

Jadestar squinted his eyes at Skyflower. "Jaystick just said he was the father of your kits. Troutclaw couldn't be the father. Especially since they look so much like you and him." A growl almost escaped his throat. The other clans will be angered at us because of that fluffbrain of a medicine cat.

(Sagekit doesn't exist. It's just Troutkit, Aspenkit, Brokenkit, and Shatteredkit)

Skyflower growled. "Troutclaw is their father," she repeated, glaring at the leader and hoping he would understand that Troutclaw would be raising the kits, therefore he is their father. It doesn't matter if they look like Jaystick. Besides, they aren't that far in looks, and cats won't be looking closely at them to make the connection.

Jadestar turned away from the queen, he didn't have enough patience for Skyflower at the moment. "Is this true? These kits look not very much like Troutclaw and I want to know the truth." He wasn't about to let Skyflower ruin her kits lives if what she said wasn't true.
