Jayfeather brushed past Troutclaw on his way to the medicine den.

"Hey jaystick" Troutclaw said, carrying 4 trouts back to camp.

His fur bristled. "Hey, Troutclaw" He turned to him, chuckling. "You brought trouts back? I can see why you're called Troutclaw!" He nodded at the medicine den. "Well, you've done an expert job at hunting... Any chance you could spare my herbs some time? We need to stock up before leaf bare"

"Already did it for Oakpaw today but I grabbed some for just in case" Troutclaw said giving jaystick herbs.

Jaystick nods, paddig over to his den. "If you want to help me sort herbs, come in. Remember, Troutstar, I kind of am a higher rank than you, so I might get to boss you around"

Skyflower padded into camp with 3 fish in her jaws (she has a big mouth). She dropped them on the fresh-kill pile and spotted Troutclaw and Jaystick. She eyed the prey that Troutclaw brought. "Well, your parents must have powers because they obviously named you Troutkit because they knew you'd be good at hunting trout," she greeted.

He sighed, clearly glad that Skyflower was doing an effort to be nice. He padded back out of the medicine den, herbs sticking to his pelt. "Hey Skystick.... Jayflower... Stickflower?" He shook his head. "No, that's not your name, is it?" He scratched his head, clearly confuzzled. "Um... Troutflower!" He smacked himself, "No, it's... It's... Skyclaw?" He dug his claws in the ground. "SKYFLOWER! THAT"S IT!" He sighs, sitting down. "I've spent so much time sorting herbs that my mind is fizzled"

"Well my it's tradition to have a family member named after a something that has to do with water. My dad was named fishfang, and his father was named seatail" Troutclaw explained

"What about your mother?" He questioned. "And most of my family members are herbs or prey. Like i'm a Jay, my mom was Comfreypelt, dad was Thrushwing, my sisters were Dewkit and Birdkit... Jadestar told me that they were promising fighters, but..."

"My mother was named rainclaw." Troutclaw said.
